Living Boldly
As the first gay-owned tour company in Nepal and a proud member of IGLTA, Queermandu was born in the vibrant heart of Kathmandu, post-pandemic 2022. Over tall Gorkha beers, Prajeet and Aayam dreamed of adding a queer sparkle to the city's tourism scene, a glaring gap they were determined to fill. In 2024, as the stars aligned, Joey joined the duo, his heart entangled with Prajeet's and his mind deep in Sanskrit studies. Together, they envisioned Queermandu, a venture aiming to paint the Himalayas in rainbow hues.
While juggling his dissertation and dreams, Joey became the digital architect behind Queermandu, weaving both literal and figurative webs of enchanting narratives. At its core, Queermandu thrived on the unbreakable bond and shared vision of Prajeet and Aayam. Their friendship, rich with laughter and dreams, became the venture's beating heart, guiding every queer adventure with a spirit of inclusivity.
Emerging as a beacon of belonging, Queermandu stood as a testament to the power of friendship and the vibrancy of Nepal's queer community. Prajeet and Aayam were more than tour guides; they were pioneers, leading with love and lighting the way for others to discover a Nepal where every traveler's story is celebrated.
